Ranchi, March 7 -- DGP Anurag Gupta today chaired a meeting through video conferencing at police headquarters in Ranchi and reviewed the crimes against women and children in the State.
During the meeting, the DGP gave several guidelines to officers. All SPS were asked to take necessary action to open women help desks in an organised manner at such institutions in their respective districts such as women's college, medical college, coaching institute, school, women's hostel, mall etc.
All SPs were instructed to widely publicise the women helpline number/police control number in their district at public places such as auto rickshaw/city bus/women's college/medical college/chowk-chouraha/coaching centre/school/women's hostel etc., so that th...
