New Delhi, Feb. 24 -- A passenger plane carrying 12 Indians deported from the United States landed at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Sunday, marking the fourth such arrival in a month amid Trump administration's crackdown on illegal immigrants. They were deported in a Turkish Airline flight.
They flew back to India via Panama, officials said. Of the 12, four were from Punjab - two from Gurdaspur, one from Patiala, and one from Jalandhar. Others are from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. This is the first group of Indians repatriated from Panama after the United States deported nearly 299 illegal immigrants attempting to enter the country over the last month.
