India, Nov. 15 -- Delhi Police have deported 23 foreign nationals who were found living illegally in the Dwarka district. The deportation happened after a month-long crackdown carried out through October, officials said on Thursday. DCP Dwarka, Ankit Singh, said the police will continue strict action against illegal stays and will keep pressure on those misusing the system. "Our teams are conducting regular checks. We will not allow any illegally staying foreign national to hide in the district," he said.
Police teams from Bindapur, Dabri and Mohan Garden traced the individuals during prolonged field verification drives. Bindapur police accounted for 20 of the 23 cases. Dabri police tracked two, and Mohan Garden police traced one.
