New Delhi, March 6 -- The Delhi Police have launched a citywide 'general gasht' (patrolling) aimed at providing heightened surveillance, preventing crime, and responding promptly to emergencies during the early hours, an official said on Wednesday.
According to the police, the patrolling started at 9 pm on Tuesday and concluded around 2 am, with a heavy police presence across the national capital.
This comes days after Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level law and order review meeting.
