New Delhi, June 7 -- The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is planning to roll out 100 Type-3 electric inter-State buses across 17 identified routes connecting Delhi to nearby States, including several that lead to religious and pilgrimage destinations, officials said on Friday.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the DTC Board and was chaired by Health and Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh, where members shared detailed plans for expanding inter-State connectivity using zero-emission buses. These buses will be run by existing DTC drivers, which means no new hiring will be required and the current workforce will be effectively utilised.
