New Delhi, April 17 -- In a move aimed to crack whip on private unaided recognised school's decision on fee hikes, the Delhi government's Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued an order to set up District-level Inspection Committees under the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) concerned to conduct inspections of all such schools in the city, including those against which complaints were received by the Education Department.

In a statement, the DoE said it has received numerous complaints from parents and students across Delhi regarding arbitrary, irregular, and exorbitant fee hikes by several such schools.
