India, Nov. 23 -- The Delhi Government is working on revamping the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wi-Fi infrastructure at the Secretariat building for an updated digital ecosystem. The existing LAN at the Delhi Secretariat is over a decade old, which needs an overhaul as it sometimes faces glitches, hampering work. It also requires updates according to the new technology and improvements in internet connectivity, officials said.

The LAN refers to interconnected computers and digital devices in a specified geographical location, like a building. The LAN works through intercommunication of digital devices like computers with the help of components like routers, switches, firewalls and signal repeaters.
