New Delhi, Aug. 22 -- A day after the Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked inside her house during a public hearing, Delhi Police Commissioner SBK Singh has been replaced by 1992 batch AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories) cadre officer Satish Golcha. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued an order on Thursday. Golcha, who has tenure till April 2027, is known for his no-nonsense approach and his decisive leadership during the 2020 northeast Delhi riots, where he served as the Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order).
