New Delhi, Feb. 21 -- First-time MLA Rekha Gupta sworn as Delhi's ninth Chief Minister on Thursday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda, and Chief Ministers and Deputy CMs of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)-ruled States.
Choudhary Braham Prakash from the Congress was the first chief minister of Delhi. He was the Chief Minister from March 17, 1952 to February 12, 1955. He was the Chief Minister for two years and 332 days. He had represented Nangloi Jat constituency.
