Bhopal, June 18 -- A Delhi-bound flight from Jodhpur was diverted to Bhopal on Tuesday afternoon due to heavy rainfall in the national capital. The aircraft landed safely at Raja Bhoj Airport around 4:50 PM. Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was among the passengers on board.

Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon continued its advance across Madhya Pradesh, covering 19 districts as of Tuesday, including Indore. This marks a significant progression from Monday, when the monsoon had entered only four districts. The state witnessed widespread showers accompanied by thunderstorms, bringing much-needed relief from the scorching summer heat.
