New Delhi, May 14 -- Delhi's Environment Minister, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, said on Tuesday that the Delhi Archives Department will hold a public exhibition. It will display rare historical documents and old government records.
The Minister said the exhibition will help people learn more about Delhi's rich history. It will also show the important role of Sikh culture, as the department holds many records linked to Sikh religious places and old Sikh writings from before India's independence.
This announcement came after the Minister recently visited the Delhi Archives Department at the Qutub Institutional Area. There, he checked how the department stores and looks after its records.
