Lucknow, May 20 -- Within a month of disclosure of Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami's sister, her husband and relatives fraudulently receiving Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) wages under the rural employment scheme without performing any work, now 'dead' persons were found registered and receiving wages in Sambhal.
Several such disclosures already come up from time to time from various places especially from Bundelkhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh where job cards were issued either to the 'dead' or people with forged documents.
