India, Dec. 19 -- Giving a boost to tourism at the banks of the River Yamuna, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has allowed bookings of lush green lawns of Asita Park near ITO, for various socio-cultural events, it said on Thursday.
Giving details of the unique step, the DDA said this initiative has been taken under the guidance and supervision of Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena, who played a crucial role, right from the conception to the development of various riverfront projects in the city, that include Baansera and Asita. The approved daily rental charges at Asita, vary depending on the lawn and range from Rs 40,000 to Rs 3.3 lakh.
