India, July 4 -- Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, accompanied by a team of administrative officials, undertook an arduous journey to Kolabadiya Tola, a remote settlement in Gudabanda block surrounded by dense forests and hills. The officials traversed challenging terrain-first on motorcycles and then on foot-to directly interact with villagers and understand their pressing issues.
During the visit, residents shared a range of long-standing problems including the absence of an all-weather access road, lack of electricity connections, drinking water scarcity, inadequate housing, and the need for a permanent Anganwadi centre to provide nutrition and essential services to mothers and children.
