BOKARO, Aug. 31 -- At the weekly Janata Darbar held on Friday at the Collectorate, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha instructed officials to ensure written responses to grievances forwarded by the Public Grievance Cell within 24 hours. He warned that unnecessary delay or negligence in resolving public complaints would not be tolerated.

During the hearing, applications from both rural and urban residents were addressed with seriousness, and in several cases, on-the-spot decisions provided immediate relief. Among them, Sonaram Manjhi of Tetulia village, Chandankiyari, who had long awaited pension approval, received sanction on the spot, bringing visible relief.
