BOKARO, June 4 -- Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha held a public grievance hearing (Janata Darbar) on Tuesday at the Collectorate, where he directed all Block Development Officers (BDOs) and Circle Officers (COs) to address public issues effectively at the block and circle levels. He instructed that Janata Darbars must be held every Tuesday to ensure timely redressal and that citizens should not be harassed unnecessarily.
The DC expressed concern that most grievances received at the district-level Janata Darbar were related to land and revenue matters, which ideally should be resolved at the block or circle level.
