BOKARO, April 20 -- DAV Sector-4 celebrated the 161st birth anniversary of Mahatma Hansraj, the pioneer of the DAV movement and Arya Samaj stalwart, with traditional zeal. In the presence of LMC Vice President Mr. B.S. Jaiswal and other dignitaries, a grand Vedic Yajna was performed with around 1,000 students offering ahutis in 11 havan kunds.
Born on April 19, 1864, Mahatma Hansraj dedicated his life to Swami Dayanand's ideals, becoming the first unpaid headmaster of the first DAV school. Principal S.S. Kar highlighted DAV's unique role as a confluence of Indian culture and modern technology, calling it Hansraj's living legacy.
