India, Oct. 30 -- Closing Ceremony of the Walong Cycling Expedition marked the culmination of a three-day cycling event organised from Namsai to Namti as part of the 63rd Walong Day Commemoration. The expedition was flagged in by Commander Walong Brigade at Namti War Memorial. Participants were apprised of the historic significance of Walong and Namti during the Battle of Walong (1962) and awarded with medals for successful completion of Expedition.
The cycling expedition, which commenced on 24 October 2025, saw the participation of over 100 cyclists, civil dignitaries and locals. Traversing the challenging terrain, the event retraced the historic routes that witnessed the indomitable courage of Indian soldiers during the 1962 War.
