India, Dec. 10 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday stressed that any unnecessary remand of a matter for fresh consideration by a higher court should be avoided as it generates a fresh round of litigation. The idea is to curtail the litigation and not generate it, a bench of Justices Rajesh Bindal and Manmohan said, as it set aside an order of the Allahabad High Court, which had remanded back a matter - related to authorities rejecting a man's application for correction of a revenue map - for fresh consideration after hearing all parties concerned.
