Jamshedpur, Dec. 11 -- Inaugural function of the Professional Training programme (PTP) on Experimental Techniques in Iron and Steelmaking (ETIS 2019) was organised by CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur at Lecture Hall of CSIR-NML.
The economy growth and infrastructure development of a country goes hand-in-hand with the steel utilization and capacity creation. The growing environmental awareness and depletion of good quality raw materials imposes new and challenging task for the steel sectors. As the field of ferrous metallurgy is given lesser prominence in recent times, it is required to know the experimental techniques in the field of iron and steel, that enable to face the challenges in the near future.
