Jamshedpur, May 15 -- In a significant update on the district's ongoing battle against narcotics and illegal substances, the police department revealed during the Narcotics Coordination Committee (NCORD) meeting that 13 cases were registered under the NDPS Act between January and April 2025, leading to the arrest of 36 accused individuals. The operations also resulted in the seizure of large quantities of ganja, brown sugar, cough syrup, and doda.
Additionally, a proposal for preventive detention of three habitual offenders has been submitted to the Home Department under the PIT NDPS Act. In a parallel crackdown, the Railway DSP informed that 87 kilograms of ganja were seized in the last four months.
