JAGATSINGHPUR, Sept. 24 -- The cremation of two Covid-19 deceased at the College Chhack crematorium here on Tuesday has triggered strong resentment among locals.Report said that the two patients succumbed to the virus while undergoing treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital.When the municipal authorities brought the bodies from cremation as per the Covid norms, the locals staunchly opposed and said the move can spread the virus in adjoining areas.
Facing stiff opposition, the municipal team returned back and informed district administration. Later, police along with a Magistrate, municipality Covid Nodal officer and Health Officer reached spot and bodies were cremated.
