Bhopal, May 25 -- As COVID-19 cases rise nationally, health authorities in Bhopal and Indore are seeing early signs of the virus returning, prompting officials to increase surveillance and readiness.

Indore currently has two active COVID-19 cases. Both patients are in stable condition and isolating at home. The district health administration said contact tracing is under way, but ruled out any cause for public concern.

Since January, five cases have been reported in Indore, with one death linked to pre-existing health conditions. Authorities say there is no panic, but teams are keeping a close watch.
