Lucknow, June 1 -- After months of quiet, COVID-19 is once again casting its shadow over Uttar Pradesh, with Noida witnessing a sudden spike in infections. In the past 24 hours alone, 14 new positive cases have been reported, pushing the district's total active cases to 57 - up from 43 just a day earlier.

The largest spike is reported from Noida. Noida's District Surveillance Officer, Dr. Tikam Singh, the recent cases involve 30 men and 27 women. All infected individuals are currently in home isolation and are being closely monitored by the health department.
