India, July 2 -- elhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora on Tuesday said all of its personnel have undergone training for the new criminal laws and the city police have successfully operationalised them in the past year.

More than 2.5 lakh FIRs have been registered under the new criminal laws that came into force this day last year, with over 62,000 chargesheets already filed, Arora said in his address at the 4th Commissionerate Day Ceremonial Parade at the New Police Lines in Kingsway Camp.

The police commissioner said the force has intensified its drive against drugs and organised crime in 2024.
