Bhopal, May 11 -- A police head constable who was shot by a criminal on the campus of Jaitwara police station last week has died from his injuries, an official confirmed on Saturday. Head Constable Prince Garg, who had been receiving treatment at Max Hospital in Delhi, succumbed to his injuries on Friday.
Garg had sustained a bullet wound near his shoulder in an attack that took place around midnight on April 28. The accused, identified as Achchhu Sharma, was arrested after a brief encounter with police last week. Following the shooting, Garg was airlifted to Delhi on May 7 for specialized treatment. Despite efforts to save his life, Garg passed away at the hospital on Friday, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashutosh Gupta said.
