Indore, April 21 -- Slogans echoed outside Heera Nagar police station as Congress workers protested the arrest of Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) Leader of Opposition Chintu Chouksey late Sunday morning.

Choukse was arrested from his residence following a violent altercation on Saturday night. The clash, reportedly sparked by a water tanker dispute among children, escalated into a full scale confrontation between BJP and Congress workers.

Police said BJP worker Kapil Pathak filed a complaint, accusing Choukse and eight others of attacking him with a shovel and iron rod.
