Bharadisain, March 3 -- The Congress MLA from Manglaur, Qazi Nizamuddin accused the Government of shying away from facing the house. He said that the rule book governing the functioning of the Uttarakhand assembly clearly states that at least 60 sittings of the house should be held in a year but the house sits for only 20-25 days in a year.

Raising the issue under rule 299, Nizamuddin said that the provisions are being not being followed consistently and it would be proper to amend the rule book of the assembly. He said that the chapter five of the rule book clearly states that the governor's address should be held for four days.
