Ranchi, Aug. 25 -- Congress National President Sonia Gandhi is likely to announce the name of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee's (JPCC) new chief within the next 24 hours, said a JPCC office bearer who was in New Delhi on Saturday. Senior party leaders from Jharkhand met Gandhi at the office of All India National Congress on Friday evening and shared their views on the contenders for the important position.
"Some senior leaders from Jharkhand met Soniaji yesterday (Friday). It was an informal meeting wherein our State leaders assured the national president that they will go to the assembly polls as a united team," said the office bearer.
