New Delhi, Sept. 28 -- The Congress has initiated talks with local parties like RLSP, VIP, NCP and even with the former Union Minister in Vajpayee Government Yashwant Sinha to forge an alliance for the Bihar Assembly elections, starting next month. At the same time, it has given an ultimatum to its old natural ally RJD to make up its mind by this month end over the issue of seat sharing.

Sources said the Congress leadership has conveyed to RJD to come to the negotiation table and finish the seat sharing process so that enough time remains for the grand alliance to campaign.
