Bhopal, June 11 -- A complaint over alleged encroachments and unauthorised constructions at the Chhola Dussehra Ground was filed with Bhopal Municipal Corporation on Tuesday.
Congress leader Manoj Shukla, who submitted the complaint, claimed that over 14 shops were being constructed illegally, without any formal tender. He said the ground holds religious and cultural significance for the local Hindu community and serves as the venue for major annual festivals.
Shukla alleged that the unauthorised market near Chhola Temple was being stealthily shifted to the ground. He added that although work had been halted earlier following a complaint to the Collector, construction resumed on Tuesday.
