India, Nov. 16 -- Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Saturday led Tribal Pride Day celebrations at a state-level programme in Alirajpur, where he unveiled statues of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and martyr Chhetu Kirad and announced a series of development and welfare measures.
Dr Yadav said the 150th birth anniversary of BirsaMunda was being observed across the country and described the tribal leader as a symbol of self-respect and identity.
He said Kirad played a role in organising tribal resistance during the 1857 uprising and that honouring both leaders was a privilege.
