India, Dec. 28 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday inaugurated two new Atal Canteens in northwest Delhi's Shalimar Bagh and Pitampura, where nutritious meals are served to the needy for Rs 5. The Chief Minister said that the government will soon introduce a special plan for them as well, so that no poor or needy person remains hungry.

During the inaugural ceremony in Shalimar Bagh, Gupta tasted the meals served and praised their quality and nutritional value. Later, she inaugurated another canteen at GP Block, Seva Basti in Pitampura, which she announced would be developed into a public service centre with an Ayushman Arogya Mandir, toilets, and an RO plant for safe drinking water.
