India, Nov. 19 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday inaugurated a new District Social Welfare Office for Northwest Delhi. This move comes as a push to tighten the delivery of welfare schemes across 15 Assembly constituencies.

The office, located opposite Azadpur Mandi in Indra Nagar, brings multiple social sector services under one roof. The government says this will reduce delays and cut the struggle faced by pension and scholarship applicants. The Chief Minister said the building reflects her government's focus on social justice.

She said the administration wants every eligible resident to receive benefits without hurdles. She added that the new facility created a system that is faster, simpler and more accessible.
