Chandigarh, March 12 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday directed the officials to ensure the swift and timely completion of the Shaheed Udham Singh State Institute of Medical Sciences and Civil Hospital in Hoshiarpur.

Mann, chairing a high-level review meeting at his residence, emphasized that the Rs 418.30 crore project is crucial for providing quality healthcare services to the people of Punjab, especially the Kandi region. The Institute, spread over 21.41 acres, will include a 300-bed ultra-modern hospital and a medical college with an annual intake of 150 students.
