India, Sept. 11 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday conducted a surprise inspection of the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) in Dilshad Garden and reviewed the hospital's facilities. Gupta took rounds of OPD and Emergency and enquired about the welfare of the patients.
Sources in the Government said that the visit of the CM and the Health Department took place following a report in The Pioneer regarding the negligent situation of the medical service in the hospital.
She expressed deep concern about the incident of the delivery of a female in the washroom of IHBAS and subsequently the child died, as reported by The Pioneer in its edition dated September 10, 2025.
