India, Nov. 18 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday called for stronger coordination between Delhi, neighbouring States and the Centre to tackle shared regional challenges. Speaking at the 32nd meeting of the Northern Zonal Council in Faridabad, she said issues such as air pollution, water security and regional transport cannot be solved in isolation and require long-term joint action.

The Chief Minister said air quality in Delhi is deeply shaped by regional activity, especially stubble burning. She acknowledged progress made by Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in managing crop residue but said smoke from Punjab remains a major concern.
