Lucknow, March 11 -- In a major announcement ahead of Holi, the Uttar Pradesh government-led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has approved several key decisions benefiting farmers, urban infrastructure and industrial expansion. The highlight of the Cabinet meeting was the increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of wheat by '150 per quintal, raising it from Rs 2,275 to '2,425 per quintal for the Rabi marketing year 2025-26.
Wheat procurement in Uttar Pradesh will take place from March 17 to June 15, 2025 with around 6,500 purchase centres to be set up across the state by eight agencies, including the Food Department's marketing branch.
