Bhopal, April 13 -- Health officials in the state capital continued inspections for the second consecutive day on Saturday, prompting several clinics to shut their doors amid fears of penalties for illegal medical practice.

The Chief Medical and Health Office team is verifying medical degrees, treatment methods, and compliance with legal acts governing medical waste, licensing, and clinic operations across the district.

Authorities say many clinics remained closed voluntarily to avoid scrutiny. Surveillance on such premises is ongoing, with local police, municipal staff, and administrative support bolstering the drive.
