Bhopal, March 27 -- Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company (MKVVCL) on Wednesday urged consumers to clear outstanding electricity bills by the March 31 deadline or face consequences that range from disconnections to seizure of properties.

In the midst of a ramped-up recovery drive, the company has instructed ground-level officials to take necessary action, including the issuance of C-forms under the Land Revenue Code, conducting property seizures, and freezing bank accounts of those failing to clear their dues.

Additionally, the company has also directed vigilance officers to speed up the recovery process. Night checks are being carried out to prevent illegal use of electricity by defaulters whose connections have been withheld. Violators w...
