Ranchi, Feb. 13 -- The Health department has become alert after the spread of bird flu (H5N1) in the poultry farm located at the Veterinary College of Birsa Agriculture University (BAU). Mission Director of National Health Mission (NHM), Jharkhand, Abu Imran, has issued an alert to the civil surgeons of all the districts and instructed them to take necessary precautions.
In view of the threat of bird flu, rapid response teams have been formed in all the districts. This team has been instructed that if infection is confirmed in humans, then provide medicines and necessary treatment to the high-risk group.
