Bhopal, April 26 -- Bhopal markets will observe a half-day shutdown on Saturday in protest against the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. The Bhopal Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) announced the shutdown, calling it a tribute to the victims and a united stand against terrorism.

Shops across major commercial areas, including New Market and Chowk Bazaar, will remain shut till noon. The decision was taken in consultation with various trade bodies, reflecting growing public anger and grief.

Tejkul Pal Singh Pali, BCCI president, announced the decision, saying that the gesture expresses solidarity with the families of the victims and sends a strong message against terrorism.
