At the edge of VIP Road, the main thoroughfare for guests visiting the city for the Global Investors Summit later this month, the 19th-century Gauhar Mahal is in dire need of a fresh coat of paint, both inside and outside.
Though the outer walls of this historical building, which could easily become one of the focal points of attraction for visitors, are currently being painted to hide water streaks that have accumulated and darkened over time, plans to paint the inside of the structure remain uncertain.
