RAIPUR, Sept. 25 -- Chhattisgarh Police on Thursday busted an IPL 'satta' (betting) racket operating inside two separate moving cars in the state capital and arrested seven persons.

Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Yadav told the Pioneer that Rs 12,000 in cash as well as betting records detailing transactions of around Rs 1 crore were seized from four of them.

Those arrested were identified as Chhote Dewangan (53) of Bilaspur city and Gaurav Sabarwal (37), Mahendra Dewangan (37) and Mohammad Raees (24), all from Janjgir-Champa district.

Police seized 10 mobile phones, a laptop and a car (CG-11, 8293).
