India, Dec. 3 -- India captain Vikramaditya Chaufla waded through a competitive international field to lift the Willingdon Indian Racketlon Open trophy here. Chaufla, who has multiple World Championship medals to his name, had to dig deep to get the better of compatriot Animesh Kejriwal in the final of the B category held here over the weekend.
The final scoreline read 21-18, 21-10, 10-21, 19-18 in Chaufla's favour. The semifinal against Russian veteran Dmitry Dubovenko was an absorbing battle of attrition before the Indian prevailed 9-21, 21-16, 21-16, 21-17.
