India, Nov. 1 -- Climate change is among the most urgent challenges of the twenty-first century, largely driven by human-induced emissions of greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide (CO2). The burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial expansion have released vast amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere, upsetting the Earth's natural carbon balance. The result is a rapidly warming planet marked by extreme weather, melting glaciers, rising sea levels, and widespread loss of biodiversity.
