India, Sept. 26 -- Canadian authorities have arrested three Khalistani separatists, including Inderjeet Singh Gosal, a close aide of banned terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. The arrests were made during a traffic stop in Ontario on September 19 and are being seen as a significant development following recent diplomatic talks between India and Canada focused on curbing extremism.

The three accused were identified as 36-year-old Inderjeet Gosal from Caledon, 41-year-old Jagdeep Singh from Pickville, New York, and 23-year-old Arman Singh from Toronto. They were taken into custody after police stopped their vehicle on Highway 407 near Harmony Road in Oshawa.
