RAIPUR, April 25 -- Campaigning for the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh ended on Wednesday evening, 48 hours ahead of the April 26 polls.

Programmes like public meetings or processions are now prohibited .

Three significant constituencies - Rajnandgaon, Kanker and Mahasamund --will vote that day with 6,567 polling centers. Of these, 3,243 will be monitored through webcasting.

As many as 41 candidates are contesting: 38 men and three women. Fifteen candidates are contesting in Rajnandgaon, 17 in Mahasamund and nine in Kanker.

Only approved political advertisements will be allowed to be published during this time.
