Jamshedpur, June 9 -- A fresh demand has been raised to rename the Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi as "Bhagwan Birsa Munda Airport," in recognition of the tribal icon's unparalleled legacy and contributions. The appeal comes from Amarpreet Singh Kale, a senior social worker and founder president of "Naman - Shaheedon Ke Sapno Ko," an organization dedicated to honoring India's martyrs.

Kale has sent an emotional letter to the Chief Minister of Jharkhand urging the state government to recommend and take formal steps to rename the Ranchi-based airport with the revered title "Bhagwan" prefixed to Birsa Munda's name.
