New Delhi, March 3 -- The recent audit report of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) on Delhi's health infrastructures has revealed that there was no monitoring of identified private hospitals by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) to ensure free treatment of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) patients. The report highlighted that there were cases of denial of free treatment coupled with poor complaint redressal mechanism.
This report contains the results of the performance audit of 'Public Health Infrastructure and Management of Health services' in Delhi covering the period 2016-17 to 2021-22.
